First time on a cruise?
My husband and I live in california and we are thinking about going on a cruise. Neither one of us have been on one before.. We have a 18 month old baby… we were thinking that for the first time.. we would like to go to the mexican riviera, for seven days at the most.. what cruise lines have the best prices? any of you have any suggestions? what cruise line would you suggest? anything that you would stay away from? what have your experiences been like? Do you think it’s a bad time to go on a cruise, because of our son’s age?
is it safe to travel to cancun/ riviera maya?
my husband and i were planning on staying in a resort in riviera maya/cancun area and my mother warned us of recent crime in mexico. however, just like USA, mexico is pretty large and i wouldn’t be scared to go to seattle if there was a lot of crime in chicago or something. i guess my question is has the recent crime (something to do with drug lords and things of that nature) had any effect in cancun area? i have travelled to mexico twice, once in los cabos and once to puerto vallarta. i’ve never had a problem, we just like to relax at the beach and hotel and normally do an all inclusive so that we dont have to leave the hotel to eat or anything.
Intern life in Barcelona, Paris, London, French Riviera?
which place is your favorite and why? I have the opportunity to work abroad after high school. I will be 18. I am a good portion French and have a basic understanding of the language, and I can speak Portuguese. I really just want to work in a great city. The jobs are basic internships such as working in hotels and stuff. your opinion is appreciated.
Question about destinations in Mexico?
Hello!
My family will go going on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Mexican Riviera in April and I just wondered about some of the cities. We will be stopping in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. I know that there are shore excursions you can sign up for through the cruise line, but we are looking at doing some things on our own.
My biggest question is if there are any kind of ruins in these cities? I know that there are tons on the other coast of Mexico, but I just wondered if there were some on the West coast.
Thanks for the info!!
I’m confused as to whether this e-mail is genuine or not?
I recived an e-mail today from poetry.com telling me that my poem is to be presented at some convention. I’m really confused as to whether or not it’s real, or just a scam.
Here’s part of the e-mail:
We recently informed you that you and your poetic accomplishments could have been honored during the International Society of Poets Convention recently held at the legendary Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 24 –27, 2008, even though you were unable to attend.
Please note that because so many of our selected poets took advantage of this opportunity, we have extended the time for you to elect to receive your 2008 awards and benefits of ISP membership. All that is necessary is for you to allow us to present one of your poems at our next convention and for you to elect to receive all of the awards and benefits of ISP membership that we have scheduled for you.

It goes on and on, but that’s the jist of it. What should I do? I don’t know whether or not to believe it or not. Do you think it’s genuine? Honestly, I thought my poems were a bit sloppy so I hardly image that they are worth this. Help!?
So it is fake. Right, ok thanks! I wouldn’t have payed, but it made me so curious!
Mexican real estate?
I am interested in buying some real estate in Mexico and I have a couple questions:
1. Does anyone think that Hurricane Dean will affect real estate values on the Mayan Riviera?
2. Is the 99 year lease issued to foreigners who want land usage in Mexico fairly secure or are there issues about eminent domain, land use, etc.
Any other issues you think I should be aware of or advice you have for a first time buyer looking in Mexico would be appreicaited.
