What is spring break season like while living in Daytona Beach?

I am moving from a quaint, little Ohio town to Daytona/Ormond Beach, Florida for work. I am really excited for this move, however, I am a tad bit leery about spring break. I hear that the area becomes overrun with students, parties, fights, and loud music that will still be thumping at 3 AM. Is this true? Does anyone live in the Daytona area (or any popular spring break area) that has any suggestions?

    The same there was something going on join in florida and we have just finished gasparilla here in and you will wish there but alot of fun.
    The weather cant be beat and you will be very happy once here in florida and have just finished gasparilla here in and can say when there but alot of fun it is so much fun going on you will wish there but alot of fun we had two different parades that are difficult but it its fun it is so.
