Question about destinations in Mexico?

My family will go going on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Mexican Riviera in April and I just wondered about some of the cities. We will be stopping in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. I know that there are shore excursions you can sign up for through the cruise line, but we are looking at doing some things on our own.
My biggest question is if there are any kind of ruins in these cities? I know that there are tons on the other coast of Mexico, but I just wondered if there were some on the West coast.

Go to your local travel agency and get a travel catalog of mexico. It will tell you everything there is to do!

not really ruins but you’ll be able to find some missions and mazatlan has a cool downtown shopping district. cool if you like bargaining. If you want to see ruins, temples and pyramids you want to go inland

The old church in both places get some ideas from taxi drivers restaurant servers and they will help good luck have very friendly and.
