FRENCH: how do i politely ask a french hotel if late check in is acceptable?

hello asked:


i need to email the hotel to ask them if my check in, most likely about 22:00 is acceptable to them. please help!

    si j’arrive après 10 heures pm est-ce que c’est acceptable…or est-ce que je peux arriver après 22 heures?

    Positive is right on, take his answer.

    However you can’t say “merci POUR votre compréhension et POUR votre bonne collaboration.”

    In French it would be, “Merci DE votre…. et DE votre bonne…”

    You will use “pour” only if it’s something concrete like a letter = merci pour ta lettre/merci pour la tarte, etc., otherwise it’s an anglicism ;)
