for those who have been to both, which is better? i have been to punta cana twice and i like it quite well, the resorts are close to the airport, the people who work there are always friendly, too much so. and whats more, tips are NOT required for good service. when they say all inclusive, that means honestly you don’t have to carry any money around. but i heard its not like that in riviera maya and if you want anyone to do anything for you you have to tip constantly. also most hotels are more expensive than punta cana and they are farther from the airport. how do you equate these two regions? should i bother to go to riviera maya or should i just repeat my DR vacation?
