Has anyone ever cruised Carnival with a 2 year old toddler?

cutie249 asked:

I’m going on a 7 day cruise on Carnival to the Mexican Riviera with my husband, father-in-law and my just turned 2 year old son. I read the website and I know they have activities for my son’s age, but I’m wondering if the toddlers really have a good time or is it just a form a babysitting. I’m also looking for some advice as to what my son and I can do while my husband and father-in-law do the shore excursions. I’ve been on this cruise before and would prefer to stay on the ship or at least close to the ship. Even though he probably won’t remember the vacation, I want to make sure he’ll have a good time. If he has a good time, then I’ll have a good time. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Alone on a Cruise?

Glenn N asked:

I may be going on a Cruise with some friends. I am single and all the friends that are going are couples. I do not want to pay double for a room by myself. All the prices are based off of double occupency. If I cannot find someone to go with me, does anyone know whre I can check for others who want to share a room.

I do not know the specifc cruise line or date. But is will be leaving from L.A. in March and will be a 7-8 day Mexican Riviera cruise.

CSS asked:

My husband and I live in california and we are thinking about going on a cruise. Neither one of us have been on one before.. We have a 18 month old baby… we were thinking that for the first time.. we would like to go to the mexican riviera, for seven days at the most.. what cruise lines have the best prices? any of you have any suggestions? what cruise line would you suggest? anything that you would stay away from? what have your experiences been like? Do you think it’s a bad time to go on a cruise, because of our son’s age?

Honeymoon, holland america, first cruise, some feedback please?

riplikash asked:

Hey, just preparing for our honeymoon, and was hoping to get some feedback.

Our plan for our dream honeymoon is to head out on april 12 (the day after our wedding), from salt lake to CA and take a cruise on the Holland America Oosterdam, 7 day, mexican riviera. We managed to find a deal for a veranda room, which we are really excited about, for about 699$ (before taxes, tips, fuel charge, etc.) and flights for about 210$ (before taxes etc.)(don’t worry we’ve added it all up, taxi too).

One travel agent (younger lady) expressed the concern that we wouldn’t like holland america because it had too old a crowd, and stuffy. Another (older lady) said we would love it.

As for us, we aren’t huge party people. We don’t drink, our preferred dance is swing & ballroom, the library & culinary arts center’s, & the art are a lot more attractive to us. We don’t mind dressing nice, and we love older people. The cruise got dinged for lack of kids entertainment & shore excursions, but what do we care?

cruise lines/ one way tickets to puerto vallarta, from Long Beach Ca?

lori asked:

Are there any cruislines that offer purchasing one way tickets to puerto vallarta. Our family wants to travel to mexico next summer. We are going to michoacan to visit family. We’ve always wanted to take a cruise line vacation also. Do any of the mexican riviera cruises offer puchasing a one way ticket or maybe a round trip with the option of returning on a later ship.

Will I be able to see the NBA Finals on a cruise ship?

sd071 asked:

I’m going on an 8-day cruise June 8 to the Mexican Riviera and I want to know if the ship will get the games? The games are on ABC, so as long as the ship gets network TV, I should be able to see them. But do they get network TV? And would the sports bar get the games? Sports are a huge part of my life, so I don’t need to hear about why would I watch TV on a cruise. I care more about the Celtics than I do any cruise, but I can’t not go.

Shops & Beaches in Mexico (Mazatlan, Cabo & PV)?

BusyMom asked:

We are going on a Mexican Riviera cruise in March (Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta). At these ports, are there shops and beaches that are close to the docks, within walking distance? We will be traveling with 2 children and want to stay close to the ship in case they get tired and want to return to the ship. Thanks!
